Coordinator Knowledge & Technology Transfer

Role: Leading industry collaborations and strategic partnerships within the NCCR Automation program, focused on dependable and ubiquitous automation.

Key Achievements:

    • Spearheaded the development of reference tech-transfor projects for IP commercialization.
    • Co-founded the Reallabor Sisslerfeld to bridge the gap between academic research and practical applications in the energy sector.
    • Lead author of technology foresight report in collaboration with SATW on power grid technologies 
    • Swiss representative for the EU project RM Roadmap, shaping research&innovation management across Europe.
    • Co-organized the Bench2Biz initiative, helping researchers explore the commercialization potential, guiding them from concept to execution, and fostering an environment of open innovation and creativity.

Role: Engineering lead and executive board member, ensuring innovations met customer, user, and regulatory expectations.

Thesis topic "Intermittently connected mobile ad-hoc networks":

Mobile wireless network devices are often not within the transmission range of access points. In order to be able to connect to them anyway, other nodes serve as intermediate points that forward the data. Such network topologies are called mobile ad-hoc networks. The constant movement of peers, a limited energy supply and sporadically interrupted connections place high demands on routing algorithms and hardware. In this thesis, both aspects were investigated with respect to their suitability in the field of wireless telemetry: Collecting measurement data from grazing livestock using sensors and transmitting them wirelessly.
